so get this, heath bell is over at my apartment

My roomie is good friends with him. They went to the Linkin Park concert last night and he spent the night on the couch. We went out for late dinner last night at like 1 am, its hilarious talking to him about other padres players, his time on the mets, etc.

I'll see if I can get some pics of him or something.

ok, i failed at getting any good pics, but i did snap one of him leaving. He's a real cool guy, Ive been at his house in SD before and hungout with him after games at the gaslamp district.

he did sign a ball for me that Im going to give to my cousin in SD who is a huge padres fan and has cerebral palsy.

he was telling me how he thinks girardi is a fake, torre was just blessed by having good players, and he'd love to play under cox or scoiscia. I guess Khalil Greene is a real depressed guy, has been seeing sports psychologists for years now. He said Zito sucks and his velocity is down because he isnt juicing anymore, and Jeter shouldnt have been an all-star this year with the numbers he's got. That and he knows the padres are pretty bad this year.

heath just said that maddux is very quiet and very intelligent, which I can see. Peavy parties with heath, Ive been out a few times with them at the gaslamp district in SD after games, hes usually pretty faded after a win.

I guess the padres have an option to keep heath for another 2 years. Hes from orange county and said he would love to be in the angels bullpen. I could see him being our closer if they dont resign K-Rod in the offseason, but Im not holding my breath. He thinks Webb will get the NL CY, but he said he thinks Lincecum deserves it, which I agree. The kid is a beast.

I don't think K-Rod will be a Friar when all's said and done. He's going to want too much (and Boras is his agent).

Bell would be a decent Closer but he'd better stop giving up runs!! (I've got him on a couple of Fantasy teams)
He had an aweful middle of July (7 ER's in two games).

Seriously, she did.

(I was at a tennis event in Newport Beach and she signed this big huge tennis ball that looks like a basketball and a regular-sized tennis ball).
