Let's Go Padres...

We need a THREAD that chronicles our amazing run to the playoffs. Some people don't really care. Some say it won't happen. This thread will be a testament to all those who believe. All this while that amazing song from the early 90s blares...

Our pitching has really risen. Our inconsistent offense may provide drama down the stretch CAUSING naysayers to cluck. But it will come on at the right time and there will be no tougher team in baseball.

Lets get excited about the PADRES AGAIN.

McAnulty... magic... pure magic. I never thought of him as the X factor the rest of the way. This team is going to win in ways people could never have even imagined.

Why did they f'ing put Seanez in in the 10th. They could have left Trevor in to get the win. Is there a rule that says because the closer blows the save he cant come back out. I know Seanez isnt the only one to f up. Adkins gave up two in ninth as did Trevor. But when Rudy came out I just knew he was gonna blow it.

Worst loss ever?

For those who watched the game was this the worst, most gut-wrenching loss, irritating loss youve witnessed -- At least in the regular season? A couple games come to mind. That game when Trevor blew 2-0 lead to Yankees with two out. And they hit back to back. A three run shot by Piazza comes to mind. I think it ended Trevors huge saves streak. (I thought a lot less fondly of Piazza back then). I recall a three run shot by the hated Sosa in 98 in a crucial game. I think this might be the absolute worst. I'm fairly young so i dont go back tooooo far. Can anyone recall a worse game?

Let's not forget Hoffman blowing the save in this year's All-Star Game, putting the NL once again in the position of being the 'visiting' team in the WS.

No that wasnt that heartbreaking a loss in my mind

On a better note Ryan Klesko is being reactivated for the remainder of season. The fact that he missed 150 games this year is a mere pittance. How many dingers will he hit the rest of the way out?

It's great that the only company I've got on these threads is a dodger fan and Phillies fan. Great job Padres fans!!!

I was the only Padre fan here...I got tired of talking to myself.

Go Pads!

Neithe the Padres or the Dodgers represented the NL West very good. Hell, my Rockies could have done as good.
