Fausto Carmona

Well, his job as the closer is already over. Three save opportunities, and all of them were blown and he took the loss. Despite he's 1-7, so what should the GM do? Who should be the new Indians closer?

Everyone in this forum should be a part of closer by committee

Better hope they are grooming someone down on the farm. That had to be a crusher last night.

outside of Andrew Brown (who has been less than consistent from what i have seen) most everyone who could be a closer or potential closer is already on the team - maybe Tony Sipp as a darkhorse candidate - he has the stuff (i saw him throw a 93 mph fastball and then go to a 63 mph changeup - the poor batter had no idea what was coming) or Perez

but right now i want to see Davis and Mujica get chances to close

and i hope Wickman wants to come back

Wickman isn't coming back, unless we get a great discount.

We never even offered Howry a contract after last season. That was Mistake Number One, right there.

Nope - we'll just keep plugging rookies in there and see if one gets hot.

i wouldn't have offered Howry a 3 year contract - with the amount of use he has gotten and his arm problems a 3 year contract spells trouble

Carmona needs some time in the minors to regroup.

They'd probably swing three times at my "fastball" before it even got to the plate

i feel so bad for that kid...he obviously wasn't ready, and obviously wanted to succeed so badly. his reaction after the pudge homer made me wanna cry. stuff like this can alienate a player from his teammates and really fry a young pitcher...hope he settles down in a lesser role

Yeah, thanks...but I'm asking along the lines of Davis or Betancourt or someone else.
