Did everyone see Vlad's homerun last night in the All Star game? Brad Penny was gassing it up and even struk out the side in the first inning, but Vladdy hit a fastball in the high 90s and at his ears over the rightfield fence for a solo homerun. It was remarkable that he could not only catch up, but hit it out of the ballpark. I have to say he is the best "bad" ball hitter I have ever seen. Angels fans are lucky to get to watch him play.

He's about the best bad ball hitter there is. I've seen him hit balls below the knees out.

Reminds me of the old Yogi Berra quote, "If I can't reach it, I can hit it."

He is a beast.

It is unfortunate that most of MLB thinks he is an undisciplined bad ball hitter.

Fact is he played stick ball back in the DR. The Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes kiddie lyrics that FUX sports played is for real. That was his childhood and how he learned to play the game.

Stick ball and poverty equals MLB success for Big Daddy Vladdy......and I'm loviin' it.......let's hope he has many more seasons with the Angels and MLB.....
