Low threads & posts for KC
Can't believe the low number of threads and posts here in the
Royals forum..sorta on the skimpy side..hard to believe there's less than 1000 posts..and below 200 threads.... I know the team has sucked for a few years, and unless the new GM has a few cure all's under his sleeve, along with the total support of the ownership, it's gonna take a few more seasons, to right this once great team..but real fans, will stick thru thick and thin..as they did in the Detroit forum..heck, it was only a few seasons ago, the Tigers were the laughing stock of the ML, more like a crappy AAA team...who lost 119 times..but eventually, there was light at the end of the tunnel..and this season, especially after the expectations of last season, when the Tigers choked..has been refreshing..And who's to say, within a couple of seasons, thru players in the farm, some good draft choices, maybe a few FA's and trades, the ROYALS will be back...I sure hope so... Kansas City has had a rich baseball history...with the KC A's, and before that..some pretty good minor league teams...until the arrival of the Royals in 1969..and the late 70's and early 80's were good times...and heck, even the Tony Pena era, was pretty good..before the team crashed and burned..and Pena quit..to be replaced by Buddy Bell.... hopefully, interest in this forum, will start to pick up... ![]() |

Hey, Whitey's still alive and kickin'. Perhaps a comeback as GM AND Field Manager? Yeah, I know he's 74. But Frank Robinson is 70. And Jack McKeon is 75.
