Dumb, Dumb, Dumb

Justin Huber is supposedly one of our bright lights in the farm system. The Royals recently had him up for a two-week stint in which his main assignment was to learn how to order meals on the road. That must have been why they brought him up because they sure didn't play him. Now they have sent him back to Omaha with instructions to learn how to play LF.

The Royals braintrust is simply beyond understanding. These Goobers when deciding that Huber was not a catcher and needing to select a position for him chose 1B. Now I may not be the brightest bulb on the chandelier, but nobody converts a catcher to 1B when that person can actually play OF unless that person's path to the bigs is blocked by an incumbent LFer.

And I am terrified of the answer to the question about the guy the Royals are going to play at 1B in Omaha. Who the hell is Rick BELL???

Rick Bell

Rick Bell is Buddy Bell's son . . . not kidding. I wonder if when Rick Bell gets called up whether we will bench him for the entire time too.

I have heard rumors that we were going to make Butler a 1st baseman, Gordon a 1st baseman, Huber a 1st baseman etc. Why? Is Teahan really such a huge obstacle to Gordon playing 3rd? Is Bulters path blocked by any of the numbnuts we have in the outfield? Is Hubers path really blocked by Dougie, or Stairs, or the permanently disabled Sweeney? Nothing makes sense.
