Whatever happened to Jose Rosado?

I fired up N64 earlier today and played All Star Baseball 2000, I was looking through the lineups and rosters and I came across Jose Rosado. He was an All Star in 1999 (because all teams need a participant) and after that I didn't hear anything else about him. Where is he now?

Jose was a very promising pitcher for the Royals but his arm gave out. I can't remember whether it was the shoulder or the elbow. For some reason I thought he went to Puerto Rico to rehab his arm, but nothing ever came of it.

He was supposed to be the Royals pitcher of the future. And six years later they are still searching for one.
