Thoughts on early season

Batting A+....leading the league in runs.......Pronk and Victor certainly doing their job....would be nice if Jonny and Sizemore didnt strike out so much!

Pitching F .........10 pitchers with an ERA over 5!!!!! Bullpen is equally inept.

Prediction.......Indians better wake up......we should be destroying Kansas City
Tigers are well managed and better than most thought. The Chisox are the best team in baseball. Hopefully the pitching will come through......2nd place..

totally agree w/ the grades. although we're forgettn one other piece of the puzzle that leads us to this point. DEFENSE OR LACK THEREOF. i think the tribe was second to last in the league in errors going into the kc seris. and between bnot being able to hold any runners or throw any out, also on a RECORD pace for stolen bases allowed. another big fat F.

.500 can keep us around for about another 3-4 weeks but after that somebody needs to pick it up or its bye-bye season.

Better than last year, but still nothing to jump up and down about. I agree with your grades.

Will 2nd place be enough for the wild card?? I doubt it. I think the AL east will have the wild card this year. NY, Boston or Toronto. The tribe may end up third behind Detroit with the tigers givng a solid run for the Wild Card.
The White Sox are a lock. Just my 2 cents worth.

We can all hope that Toronto, NY, & Boston beat up on eachother enough to keep two of them out of the post season.

Leyland has gotten the club to buy into his culture..and he doesn't take
crap, or bone head mental errors..he erupts like a wild man..which the
Tigers has taken to heart...I expected the recent series with the tribe,
to be much closer..and was amazed that DEtroit swept them..I still
think the tribe, could be the team to beat..if they even get untracked
as they got some decent talent...but the Tigers are better than people
get them credit for..Leyland has affected them that much...and might
give the chisox, a real run this summer...barring a major slump
