"Waddling" Elvis

As you know Runelvys ("Running Elvis") Hernandez reported to spring training at a less than svelte 290+. When the Royals subsequently put on the DL so he could diet we had to change his nick name to "Waddling Elvis". After his DL stint the Royals shipped him to Omaha for a rehan stint where, in three games he threw up this stat line:

14IP 22 Hits 10 Walks 7 K's 10.67 ERA

Nice, Huh??

In his first start back in the bigs last night against the Twins he goes 7 innings allowing 2 hits (one a solo HR), one run, and no walks.

Is this a goofy game or what? I know the Twins are not an offensive juggernaut, but this is absurd.

I'd watch that game on MLB.tv. I would have never believed he came to ST overweight and pitched badly in the minors. He really pitched a very good game.

Elvis had another quality start last night. I'm not sure what is up with him, but I doubt that this is the Elvis we see all season.

The Royals suck so bad. They get a little pitching and forget to hit. if they hit a little then the pitching collapses. What hath Allard wrought??

According to Big Al, you just need to give it time....The kids will develop..You just need to give them time...Say, is it possible to play all 162 games against
the Marlins...At least we'll have a chance at .500!!

Amazin..Simply Amazin!!
