Consecutive Innings...

Who holds the record for most consecutive innings with a hit?
I think I remember a D-Ray who had hits in each of the last 3 innings and then in each of the first 3 in the next game.
I also have heard that Rickey H had a hit in each of the first 5 innings in 1991...
Can anyone help me with who that D-ray was?

I see this went unanswered, so I am here to try and help. I say "try" because I do not fully understand the question. Walt Dropo is the only Major League player to have 12 hits in a row and NO walks in between those hits at all. He did that spanning two games with the Tigers on July 14 & 15, in 1952....

Hope that answers it!

Sean

What I was going for was more like someone who had hits in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings of the same game. I heard Rickey H once did this.
Also, I have heard that some players have had hits in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings of one game and then in the next game, had a hit in each of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd innings, for a total of 6 straight innings played in with a hit.

Was just at the A's-Cards game. So Taguchi had hits in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. Struck me as unusual, and 4 consecutive innings seemed like a possible recor. This is the only place I saw on the web that had any discussion of what the actual record is. Any verification on the Henderson five innings mark?

(And I'd think the record should only count for single games. Carryovers are cheating because the batting order can get reset.)

Rickey Henderson had a hit in five straight innings on September 29, 1991.
