The Darkness Grows
Eleven games into the season and we can see what Allard hath wrought. Another year without major league baseball in KC.
Apparently taking a mediocre team and turning it into a national laughingstock is acceptable job performance to David Glass.

There might be one bright side to all of this early losing. Our franchise might get something that it desperately needs... If David Glass can step up and completely clean house (I'm talking about a complete over-haul) and then meticulously find the best replacements, we may have hope, yet.
But when has David Glass ever poured his soul into this franchise? I don't think we'll ever see the best Glass can offer in team operations. |

trouble in KC
Looks like it's gonna be a long season of AAA in KC...
sad, to see this once great team on the ropes..the fans deserve better..If Glass isn't willing to invest the needed funds, and rebuild the farm, and get whatever players are needed..then this trendmill of losing, can only get worse...how is attendance holding up ? as bad as the Tigers were in 05, they still drew 2million.... I feel sorry for Buddy Bell....not a bad skipper, but one that has constantly been saddled with crummy teams..will he last out the season ? |

Quote:
If Baird is fired during the season (and he probably will be) Muzzy Jackson will most likely serve as interim GM. If Baird is fired after the season, it doesn't really matter... But I think both Muzzy and Allard would keep Bell. I have my doubts that Buddy will be back after this season, however. |

Bell ( ding dong )
Is his contract up after this season ? or will the spectre of
continued losing, finally blow him outta KC ? looks like another 100 plus losing...i sure hope not...would love to see the team turn it around..like the early tenure of tony pena... |
