Joe "Lima" Mays
Looks like Allard found to the perfect guy to fill Jose Lima's slot in the rotation.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he pitches again today. The good news is it looks like Mike Wood might get a shot at the rotation since Elvis is getting shelled in AAA.

I hope the umpires bring a lot of baseballs to the game.

Hopefully it doesn't take as long to get Mays out of the rotation as it did for Lima to get removed last year.
On the bright side - Woods looked good today. |

Don't think so. In one inning he walked four batters to give the Yanks a run.
Dessens pitched an awesome two innings. Four dribblers and two K's on 19 pitches.

So Mays and Affeldt need to be replaced. The good news is that Elarton has pitched a lot better then I thought he would.

Actually, I think Elarton is a lot more similar to Lima than Mays. Disturbing, but true.
I wrote an article about it if any of you care to read: http://athomeplate.com/royals/?p=5 |
