Tribe need to designate new closer. Wick stinks!

I am not a tribe fan but I am a fan of one of your players. Last season I got my first look at your young Fernando Cabrera. All I can say is Wow! This kid has some real good stuff. The way I saw him pitching, he is ready to take over your closer role right now. I am baffled as to why the Indians would give fat Wickman another contract and spend too much money when they have the guy they need waiting in the wings? Cabrera rocks man. Wish my Cubs had him.

Wickman, no matter how many heart attacks he induced with his style of closing last year, nonetheless led the league in saves. That's worth resigning. The Indians don't want to burn Cabrera out early in his career. They'll be cautious with him, and it'll be worth the wait. He'll get his shot, probably next year, or perhaps even after the AS break.

Boof, you nailed it. Cabrera's time is coming, they're just trying to ease him in. Wicky's not a bad safety net.

And I say that time is now. I've run out of patience for Wickie. The idiocy known as the closer's role usually results in a team's best reliever working a low number of innings in games that are already won. On the Indians, the team's second worst reliever (Mota is #1) works a low number of innings in games that are already won, and tries his best to lose them.

I know Wickie doesn't really try to lose games. But my health can't take much more. It's time for a change.
