And it ends in a tie. Considering that we were down 5-1 at one point, I'll take a tie. And who comes up with two RBI's today? Alex Gordon, that's who! Of course, Benji Gil had two RBI's today, also, so it doesn't really mean anything. But it's darned nice to see.

Chip Ambres scored THREE times on a single and three walks. Affeldt gave up two runs on two hits, two walks and an error in his inning of work, and did not look sharp. He looked better than Kyle Snyder, however, who likely pitched himself out of KC's long term plans by giving up two runs on two hits and two walks without recording an out. According to Denny Mathews, you could just tell by the way he walked off the mound that he probably figures that his career is over, at least in KC. Sisco looked very good, and Peralta was OUTSTANDING. He just shut everyone one he faced off, two innings with no baserunners and two strikeouts. Redman made the start, went two innings, and the only thing he gave up was a mammoth homer to Phil Nevin. The radio guys were impressed by the distance, that's for sure. Grudz made two errors, but according to Denny, one was a smash that he couldn't quite get to, and the other was miscommunication between Grudz and Mientkiewicz at some level. Probably not a big deal. It was funny that Denny mentioned that Grudz' errors were not "an Angel Berroa through-the-wickets" play.
