Help...Mets Signed Ball

Hi,
I was wondering if someone might share some information with me. I have a autographed Mets ball and want to know if its from a particular game or special event...and if there is any type of value...should I get it autheicated?

The signatures and #'s I can read/ figure out are:
Mookie Wilson 51
Howard Johnson 20
John Franco 31
Bill Pulsipher 21
Pete Harnisch 27
Bobby Jones 28
Jason Isringhausen 44
Tim Bogar 11
Preston Wilson..cant make out the # ..looks like 11 or 4?
Mgr Bobby Valentine 2
Then there are 2 signatures I cant figure out at all
one looks like Dave with 0
other Bob something or other with a 5 and 13 after

Any help will be appreciated. I was lucky to find this ball and want to save it for my son but wanted some history to go along with it.
Thanks so much for your time!

Tim Bogar played for the Mets from 1993 to 1996. He wore #23 every year except one when he wore #11 in 1996.

Bill Pulsipher played for the Mets in 1995 and 1998. My guess is the ball is either from late 1995 or Spring Training 1996.

The Bob's and Dave's on the team were:

Bobby Jones #28 (1995-96)
Robert Person #29 (1995-96)
Bobby Bonilla #25 (1995)
Rob MacDonald #49 (1996)
Robert Petagine #20 (1996)

Dave Mlicki #38 (1995-96)
Dave Telgheder #40 (1995)
David Segui #21 (1995)

Edgardo Alfonzo was #13 both years.

Hope this helps.

Mookie was a Met coach starting in '97 thru at least 2000

<Howard Johnson 20>

He was #20 with the Mets '85-'93, not sure if he was a coach

<John Franco 31>

He was #31 with the Mets '90 to at least part of '98. Franco led the league in saves in '94.

<Bill Pulsipher 21>

He was #21 with the Mets '95 and again in '98

<Pete Harnisch 27>

He was #27 with the Mets '91-97. Harnisch led the league in fewest hits allowed per 9 innings in '91 and '93, and led in shutouts in '93

<Bobby Jones 28>

Bobby Joseph Jones (not to be confused with Bobby Mitchell Jones who played for the Mets 2000 and '02) was #28 with the Mets '93-2000

<Jason Isringhausen 44>

He was #44 with the Mets at least part of '95 then thru '97 and again in part of '99

<Tim Bogar 11>

He was #11 with the Mets only in '96

<Preston Wilson..cant make out the # ..looks like 11 or 4?>

He was #11 with the Mets in '98. Unfortunately the Mets traded him before he reached his potential.

<Mgr Bobby Valentine 2>

He managed the Mets '96-2002 (he is on my personal list as about the tenth best manager ever)
It sounds like a ball that was started in '95 (and went into spring training early 96) and was updated in '98? There's a couple of fairly good sigs but I'm not sure I'd get it authenticated, none of the Mets teams in those years even won their division. Hope this helps

I'm beginning to think it was from Spring Training in 1996. Spring Training games are an easy way to get autographs. Mookie and HoJo might have been spring training instructors but not coaches in 1996. Pulsipher played for the Mets in '95 and '98 but he still could have been part of the Mets spring training roster in 1996. Preston could also have been on the spring roster.

Another Bob is Bob Apodaca who was the pitching coach during this time. His number was 56 in 1996 and 34 from 1997-99.
