Oh, the author does make one major mistake in it. He refers to David Glass as the owner of the Royals since 1993. He did not become owner until 2000. The author was apparently confused by the time Glass spent on the Kauffman Foundation board that oversaw the Royals under the stringent guidelines of Ewing Kauffman's will.

how do you go to the park night in and night out to watch these chumps play?

I guess its hope. I hope the royals become repsectable again.
