Mota fails physical in Cleveland

Mota failed his physical for the Tribe docs yesterday. Hopefully this will put the Kibash on the Coco trade!

Don't get too excited just yet; there's talk of Manny Delcarmen replacing Mota in the trade.

This is starting to tick me off. I wasn't happy with this to begin with, now this? I really have a feeling Shapiro is blowing this one.

sschirmer, i think everyone in cleveland feels Shapiro is blowing this one. My question to Shapiro is how does trading an established left fielder for 3 prospects help this year. In a way, we might look at this deal in 2008 like we view the Colon trade but i looked at the calendar this morning and it read 2006. Ive always had Shapiro's back but we need more for Crisp. GO TRIBE. less than 70 days till opening day

I touched on that on another thread. I couldn't agree with you more.

I agree completely. The Colon trade was brilliant; perhaps we could think that of this in a few years. But building yourself into contention, then dismantaling and doing it again, even if it only takes three years, is not going to the World Series.

This also reminded me of how after '03 the Tribe had Vizquel traded to the Mariners, but he failed his physical.

over obsessive hafner fan (haha i know him i am busting balls) lets be honest those guys need there rep and were out of options, u had to trade him, that is the interesting thing of triple a teams, for every guittierrez (i dont care i suck at spelling) u have a pat borders, they managed the options poorly and now we are getting burned. we are going to scramble and it is going to get interesting, Kearns is in the mix to, so who knows, i hope they keep crisp and they need a right fielder... 3 steps back and 2 forward still equal one step back and red sox fan, go back to red sox nation drink to much try and fight someone (basically my friday night) and create some other false propaganda bout some mediocre reliever, listen i understand damon went for the money, (he does throw like a girl) and crisp wants to play center but u unlike walmart cant muscle everyone down... remember most hyped trades fall through... Why could we help the man out, we are supposed to win now, this is the year.

Last of the Indian Fans, please use readable English. I've stopped reading your posts because I had to decode them first.

Amen. The internet has really killed the written language. It's almost as if email and message boards have given people carte blanche to forget about proper grammer.

Ya man all u do is make vague comparisons from the indians to the Browns. Last time i checked the Browns suck and there season is over 2 weeks after the indians season ends. Now if I was obsessed w hafner wouldnt i want to marry him because of his sheer physical strength. OH YA i do. oh well if I could belt 30 homers a year, bat .305, and drive in 100+ runs I would want to marry me 2. GO Tribe
