Use your last name & improve our team!
Stupid thread, and it will tend to draw people with last names of Jackson, Johnson, Smith, Williams etc. but I will start with a team of big league players all with the same last name of mine. If you can find a better player who has your last name (use your real last name, no cheating) and played at least one game at the position you're choosing, modify the most recent post containing the full team and replace with "your" player and nick

A search of my last name (Freeland) on baseball-almanac.com yields:
Dick Ward, died in Freeland, WA
Matt Broderick, died in Freeland, PA
Conny McGeehan and John Shovlin, both buried in Freeland, PA

What's with all the death? Isn't anyone ever born in Freeland, PA?

The Brewers did have a prospect named Dean Freeland who was traded to the Giants for the immortal Rob Deer, but he never made it out of triple-a.
