My only career save in 1970

Part 1: I am a Houston Astros pitcher that played 356 games: 329 of them were game starts, and 27 were relief apperances. I finished ten games, but one stands out as my only career save. Who am I?

Part 2: When did I make my only career save?

The correct answer is given if both parts are right.

1- Larry Dierker

2- Saturday July 25th, 1970... He pitched the final 3.1 innings for the Astros to save a 8-4 win at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh.

You got it, it was Larry Dierker, who later on managed the Astros.
