He won 85% of his decisions to lead the league one season.
The next season he changed leagues and LOST 80% of his decisions.

In 1914 Chief Bender led the AL with an .850 winning percentage for the Philadelphia by going 17-3 for the A's. The next year playing in the Federal League for Baltimore he sad sacked his way to a 4-16 record.
