Jeff Weaver

Today is that day. If Weaver does not re-sign with the Dodgers, he can't sign with them until May 1. So, do you think Bowden will take a shot at him to improve the rotation?
Now:
Hernandez
Patterson
Lawrence
Armas
Ortiz

With Weaver:
Hernandez
Patterson
Weaver
Lawrence
Armas

Let me be the first to say welcome to BBF Zim!

If we sign Weaver, there is almost NO CHANCE Armas will be in the rotation, Ortiz is a much better pitcher than him. But then comes the question:
What about Ryan Drese, I don't think him or the Nationals will make him play in the bullpen and I don't think he would like it. They'll either use him as trade bait or place him on waivers. The Nats are a long shot to sign Weaver, he'll likely sign with Anaheim.

Thanks for the welcome
I haven't seen much of Ortiz, so I figured that they'd place Armas in there just because he's been with the team. I don't think Drese is cut out to be a starting pitcher for the Nationals. I hope they use him as trade bait instead of just wasting him and putting him on waivers. It's a shame that we don't have an owner yet. We could have a better shot at signing these big name free agents. All in all I hope Bowden takes a shot at bringing Weaver to DC.

Whoops, I meant to say the big names from before, like Burnette . But Weaver is a pretty big name on the market in my opinion.
