Haven't seen it yet - any links? I showed my 4th graders a video that Bill Nye produced that explained the physics of baseball - very cool.

And if you're referring to shagging BP balls, isn't that what the pitchers are for?

It's apparently "a rubber gizmo that fits on the end of a fungo bat" for people who are too fat/lazy to bend over and pick up balls, sorta like a cheapie version of those aluminum tube-with-handle things that tennis instructors use. I'm not going to give a link. Don't encourage the spammers.

Thats the problem with technology. It's made us Americans WAY too lazy. It started with the TV remote, and has become rediculous ever since. Shagging balls, even during BP can be great practice if you go about it the right way. That invention is lame.

If they want to be REALLY lazy, why doesn't the pitcher just put a big magnetic post right behind the mound. Every ball could have a magnetic device inserted in it, and after the balls are hit, you just push a button and shwwoooopp, all the balls are magnetically drawn to the post. No shaggers. There you go you lazy bums! lol
