Would Franco fit?

With Julio Franco not being offered arbitration from the Braves, would he fit with the Tribe?

in theory yes... right handed first basemen, but he pushes the ball (like a left handed pull hitter) and he is 47 can he handle everyday... he did tend to split time...

I agree, I don't think he could play everyday, but a platoon involving him would be very interesting.

I've got a feeling Shapiro didn't make much of a pitch for him.

Don't those knowledgable Indians fans know that the Browns did go-to Baltimore?

I've always Browns references inside Jacobs Field. Jacobs Field is for baseball.

No place for that in a ballpark. Keep it at the gridiron.

That chant should have followed the Browns to Baltimore.

Fan Loyalty in cleveland

u know what the infutility that is the browns, the impotence that the browns fan has, is just sad... keep that garbage away from the park, i dont go to the the second mistake by the lake, and go, "let's go Tribe"... i go to boo the browns... another quarterback will be ruined, (dilfer wasnt that good anyway) while the promising, young, exciting, tribe will go unnoticed.

You can put travis hafner with the fullbacks and tightends and the average clevelander wouldnt be able to pick out that he was a baseball player.... unfortunately i think u can do the same thing with line and cc sabathia too...

When u can talk to the average clevlander and they would rather talk about the playoffless, winning season failing browns... than the 93 win indians (yeah it went unnoticed and these fair weather fans cant fool me), or the cavs, not to mention they had no idea we were one death away from an MLS team.

The cleveland fan is useless... Go Browns my bum....

Show up to the jake (or the gund/q) when the team isnt winning or when it is cold, or when it is raining, or when there isnt a browns game on the tv. So to all the clevelanders that just read this and dont post all the true indians fans that feel their spine tingle when they think of the browns...

John ELWAY
the ever present force
more clevelanders are upset at him than Jose Mesa.

Last of the Indian fans to be honest with you i am more mad at Elway than Mesa. Mesa did it to us once and Elway did it 3 times in 4 years. This town is more of a football town. I am a loyal Browns fan and Indians fan. If you guys hate hearing about the Browns so much then stop talking about it in here and lets talk some tribe baseball.

hey hey hey... i plan on buying tickets to the both openers, i doubt that at comiskey ( i refuse to call it by its corporate name that is just terrible) they wont be chanting about the bears, maybe the cubs, but not the bears. But as sure as i have blue eyes, there will be browns chants at the jake... it is upsetting... and it isnt going to stop ever...

the rumor that upsets me the most is the michaels rumor....

Don't trade coco... we will be an outfielder down, u just cant play with 8 men on the field

I never realized when I originally posted this thread that by January 26th, I'd be wishing we had Julio Franco.
