You'll know where to find me

Like quite a few rookies, I finally got into a big league game and played a spot that wasn't my natural position. In fact I never got to play my natural position. I played all 1,700 plus major league games at the same position. Not one single game anywhere else on the field. I won an MVP , a batting title ,played my whole career at just one position and I beat TB in my later years. What's my name?

I spent 25 bucks a week on a chauffer to drive me around the city. My top pay was 8 grand a year.

I don't know if he was trying to be funny there, WCOAB. I saw "beat TB," and my first thought was... Tampa Bay? Total Bases? Tuberculosis didn't even occur to me until I saw your post.

Larry Doyle is the man.
Anyone know the record for most major league games at just one position in their career? YOu'd think maybe an injury or pinch hitting situation or something would have given Doyle a chance to play something other than second at least once in his career.
