Question Question about Bullpens...(Help!)

Is there a fairly new stadium (last 20 years or so) that the designers/builders forgot to put in bullpens?

Someone mentioned the one in San Diego? Does anyone know this to be true?

Thanks for any help!

urban legend. it probably stems from the fact that only one of the two bullpens are on the field of play. (the visitors' pen is down the right-field line, the home pen is behind the outfield fence in left.)

some claim that the ballyard design at pac bell (nobody here uses sbc) failed to include both bullpens, that they were added after the park was built, and so this is why both bullpens are on the field of play. nonsense. the idea was to have the players more accessible to the fans, and vice-versa, and was part of the original design.

getting back to san diego, padres management and the park designers decided to have obvious quirks at their yard, and the bullpen situation is one of them.

that simple, pj.
