BTW- Lawn Boy sure got their money's worth out of the scoreboard ad, eh?

They periodically sell rides. That must have been one of those days.

I got to climb around in it at an Airshow last year, but I couldn't part with the $250 to ride in it.
THANK YOU FOR Identifying the plane. I was curious what type it was

So that is open again? I remember the fire, my cousin from England was visiting at the time it happened and I thought it was one place I could take him, since living in Dayton, Ohio has made me think of that sort of thing first when it comes to showing out-of-town visitors around.
RIP Tom Tresh. Detroiter. Chippewa. Yankee. Good man.
RIP George Kell. Batting Champ. Champ Broadcaster. HOFer. Good man.
RIP Mark Fidrych. The first player I actively followed.
RIP Ernie Harwell. A pure joy.
RIP Soupy Sales. There was none better.
RIP Alex Chilton. Children by the millions sang for him when he came around.

The infield seating sections seemed to have aged a lot better than the outfield. More solid concrete risers, less steel/concrete hybrids.

Great pix from DMR67442. Reminds you why they call it "The Rust Belt." You can cover it up with aluminum siding, but rust never sleeps, especially in a climate like Detroit.

The large, abandoned building about 1/2 mile west of Tiger Stadium is the Michigan Central Depot. Amtrak ran their last train out of there in January 1986--I was there to see it. Amtrak was actually a Conrail tenant in this building--CR moved to new digs in Dearborn shortly before Amtrak moved out.

Are you sure there is a couch up there? If you go to the previous page of this thread (pg 35) and look at the very high-res pictures that were posted (great pics, BTW!), I dont think you'll see any couch in the upper deck. Am I missing something?

What has "no real character?" Are you speaking of Comerica Park?

Doc, as for the location of the couch you're definitely "in the ballpark"...in fact you're quite "warm" but not quite there.

    Right field light towers

What are they are going to do with the right field light towers? Reggie Jackson's homer in the 1971 all star game hit those towers. Somebody would pay a ton for those.
