Game 7 WS NY Yankees vs Pittsburgh Pirates
    Part 1: http://ia311537.us.archive.org/3/ite...WSGm7-1of4.mp3

    Part4: http://ia311537.us.archive.org/3/ite...WSGm7-4of4.mp3

Some clips are complete games, while most are condensed versions. Nonetheless it's pretty cool to hear the old school radio announcers.

There are so many cool things on archive.org. Right now I'm reading "The Project Gutenberg EBook of Spalding's Baseball Guide and Official
League Book for 1889, edited by Henry Chadwick" over there.

Thanks for posting those links, guys. These are some really cool files. I felt like I was actually there back in days of olde, listening to these old-timey ballgames. Much appreciated.

Here's something I found poking around that website: The Adventures of Babe Ruth

Great broadcasts! For those of us who are technically challenged, how do we download say the '61 NY-BOS game into itunes/ipods?

There's actually a Baseball Historian podcast available in iTunes (several as a matter of fact - Baseball History Podcast is also good) that has a bunch of old games, as well as the Adventures of Babe Ruth and player retrospectives. The site is here and a link that will open right up in iTunes is here.

By the by, if you do download an mp3 off of archive.org (or wherever), all you have to do to get it into iTunes is drag it into the iTunes window. The program will scan it, read whatever info it can from it and add it to your library.

For the example of the 1961 game, which I don't think has shown up in a podcast, click on the HTTP link that says "All Files: FTP HTTP". On that page, right click on the different mp3 files and choose to save them somewhere on your computer. Once they're downloaded, just drag them into iTunes.
