The Yankees have Andy and C.C. ready and The Great One in the bullpen. It's all over but the shouting.

Typical over confident Yankee fan. I'm surprised you haven't learned by now that nothing is guaranteed. I'd love to see this come back and bite you in the you know what.

Anything is possible but I would much rather be in the Yankees position than the Phillies. Philadelphia has no bullpen and no 7th game starter. Good luck Cheesesteaks.

If 2004 wasn't a good enough example to never jump to conclusions, maybe this is:

Well he does have a point. Andy is probably slightly better than Pedro at this point. CC would have started Game 7, against a guy who can't wait for the season to be over because it's going so bad for him. And Yanks have Rivera while the Phils have the always exciting Lidge.
While his homerism may annoy some and yes, anything can happen, the Yankees are in a pretty good position.
And Jints, what does being confident have to do with being greedy??

The Greed part I was referring to is about NY Yankee mgmnt and their WIN AT ALL COST attitude and $208.100.000 payroll this year and the NYS ( the House that GREED built ) that can"t even fill up those luxury seats with their ridiculous prices for the World Series.

Comments like this just show how little people actually know. Do you know baseball and sports in general is a business? The Yankees re-invest profits to field a better product. Its no different than Microsoft budgeting a billion dollars to new software development to compete with or be better than Mac.
I dont know who you root for nor do I care, but maybe after your team gets their money from the luxury tax maybe they should re-invest in the team and not pocket the proceeds. At the end of day its entertainment, and the Yankee brass puts an entertaining team on the field. If your team was as "greedy" as the Yankess would you be complaining?

I know that sports are a business but when the competion cant compete with the top dog they ussually fold up and go away unless you want the yankees playin microsoft in the world series ( just kidding ) but what baseball needs is a salary cap to make the playin field level for all teams just like in the NHL NBA and the NFL but the MLBPA will fight it.

A salary cap will not level the playing field, it will not reduce the amount of money some teams (not just the Yankees) take in due to broadcast rights and other off-the field revenue over other teams. To gain a level playing field, a team's ability to make its own money must be reduced first. Or put all revenue in a poll for all teams to use.

Soooo...what your telling me is that your upset because Yankee fans have an Owner who wants to win no matter the cost? And that's a bad thing I take it?
Funny thing about your argument is that when the Yanks were doing the SAME thing in the 80s....no one was complaining this loud.
It only became a problem after the Yankees starting winning in the late 90s.
