Remember when the Jays were in the postseason?

No?

Well, remember when sabretooth tigers roamed the streets of Toronto, terrorizing our citizens? It was around then ...

Anyway, just for fun, I compiled some postseason stats to mull over, to remind us all of happier times.

The Jays have played 41 postseason games over five seasons. They are 21-20 in total and 8-4 in the World Series.

Team leaders in individual stats for the postseason:

Games: Borders 30

Runs: White 20

Hits: Alomar 44

Home Runs: Carter 6

RBI: Carter 20

SB: Alomar 18

Wins: Key / Ward 5

Strikeouts: Ward 38

Saves: Ward 5

No Jays pitcher has thrown a shutout in the postseason.

I couldn't be bothered calculating BA and ERA.

Team leaders in individual stats for the World Series only

Games: Carter / White / Alomar / Borders 12

Runs: White 10

Hits: Alomar 17

Home Runs: Carter 4

RBI: Carter 11

SB: Alomar 7

Wins: Ward 3

Strikeouts: Guzman 19

Saves: Ward / Henke 2

Interesting note about Duane Ward. He collected three wins and two saves in just 8.0 innings.:clapping

There, don't you feel better now?;)

I look at all those players and am now even more depressed that I can't remember watching a very large majority of them playing.

Yeah I hear ya. I can recall watching roughly a dozen or so regular season games in 92 and '93 and I remember all of the World Series games. I was only 6 and 7 during those WS years, but I still remember them! From that first game at Fulton-County Stadium in '92, to "touch 'em all Joe" HR at the SkyDome in '93 :clapping

Oh those were days...
