Happy 100 to the oldest living ballpayer! He played in 35 games in 1937, the only year the Dodgers wore green caps.

from Wikipedia...
"In a one-season career, Malinosky posted a .228 batting average (18-for-79) with two doubles, seven runs, and three runs batted in in 35 games played.

As of 2009, Malinosky (100) is recognized as the oldest living Major League ballplayer. He currently lives in Oxnard, California"

My best wishes go out to Mr. Malinosky upon reaching this milestone.

He became the oldest living major leaguer upon the death of Billy Werber in January 2009. Werber was a middle infielder with the Philly A's, Yankees, Red Sox & Reds in the 1930s and early '40s.

Mr. Malinosky in nearly two years older than the second oldest living MLB player, pitcher Connie Marrero. Marrero born August 11, 1911, is 98 and began his career in the United States when signed out of Cuba at the late age of 38. He played five years (1950-1954) entirely with the Washington Senators, pitching mostly as a starter and occasionally in relief. Marrero was selected to the 1951 American League All-Star team.
