Don Thompson played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1951, 1953 and 1954, hitting .220 with one home run and 19 RBI in 210 games for them. He recently passed away.

I interviewed Don over the summer, what a great guy. He recommend the "Going Going Caught ..." book which I reviewed where he is interviewed about a catch that Duke Snider made against the Phillies which he rates as the best ever. I'll try to get part of that interview up on my site soon.
