I enjoy putting together classic sets. Which one should I work on next (in tandem with my `59 Topps set)

1978 Topps
1983 Topps
1984 Topps
1989 Upper Deck

I voted 1989 UD because you'll have better luck finding those cards available on sportslots, ebay, trade, etc. Not that you can't find the others, but it'll take more effort.

Ate you just getting the cards or getting the whole set signed?

Just cards - no sigs.

I would vote 1978.

How long have you been working on the 59 set? I just started that set. Hopefully it gives me something to do in my spare time for a long time.

Edit: Do you buy any of the cards you have gotten or just trade? The shop I go to sells most of their singles from the set for a dollar each which is great. Of course some are in better condition than others and some of the high numbers sell for a little more. Have you had any luck buying lots on ebay?

I voted for '83 Topps because I personally like that set and built one myself a few years ago. '89 Upper Deck would also be a fun one to build. Isn't it a 800 card set?

Are you just building the base or will you include the traded or update sets as well?

I'm thinking base sets only.
