Some of the hottest reality shows on TV these days are one's like Sci Fi chennels Ghost Hunters, where they explore old buildings looking for ghosts and spirits of the past. I am going to write to them and suggest they check out Ebbets Field, the old Dodger office building site and the Bossert Hotel. Can you imagine what they might find in those places? I would love to go along on that, hoping to get one more crack at O'Malley.

I love watching Ghost Hunters, it would be pretty interesting if they did find something. Similarly, I had always wondered why they never did one on Yankee Stadium with all the talks of ghosts.

I don't think his ghost would be allowed in Brooklyn.

Well, they also look for evil spirits, and O'Malley certainly qualifies on that front.

For those into the subject there is an entertaining book out called "Haunted Baseball" which delves into haunted locales pertaining to the game. Like Miller Huggins Field, hotels used by the players etc. I read it in 3 days so it's an easy read. Check it out. It's written by Mickey Bradley and Dan Gordon.

Thanks for the heads up on that book. I will check it out. I'm curious, what does it say about Miller Huggins Field? I umpire there a lot?

True. Maybe his spirit is forced to live in Ebbets Field apartments for all eternity or until Brooklyn is made whole and is granted an MLB team of its own.

Now that would be justice!

What evil, lurks in the shadows of the Ebbets Field apartments?
Come on Tony, what better way to punish a guy who made a fortune breaking hearts of a generation then by forcing him to live in low income housing.

Oh, I agree 100%, but knowing the scum that O'Malley was, he would figure out a way to make a buck, out of the situation.

Apparently the clubhouse is haunted. Lights go on and off, doors get unlocked etc. Also strange shadows and apparitions on the field at night. Unexplained mower malfunctions, etc.

Wouldn't doubt for a minute that in the sale of Ebbets field there was a clause for a percentage of revenue in perpituity to the family.....for what ever went up on the spot.......

Reminded me of the Old Professor.......Casey Stengel, could have lead you through every hotel bar in the major leagues. I'm sure that would have made for quite a show.
