Has anyone had the chance to look at the sneak-peeks at this upcoming product? This is a VERY nice looking set that is simply UD's version of Allen & Ginter. It's supposed to be coming out September 2009. Does anyone happen to know how much a hobby box will sell for?

According to beckett.com the projected SRP for a hobby box will be in the $90price range, similar to the A&G product.
I think the base card design is clean and good looking, but it looks to be similar to A&G in the fact that there seems to be an overload of "gimmicky" inserts (i.e. the embedded insect cards, horse hair, etc.) and I just don't think the hobby needs any more of this crap. I'll admit the game-used side of the hobby has gotten a little stale over the last few years, but these new "innovations" in the hobby--in my opnion--are maddening.
Like I said, I think the base card look and design are nice, but this product is cataloged as a "baseball" product and it would be nice if it actually were a complete baseball product. I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I completley happy with a nice multi-colored patch card, bat barrell, or "sweet spot" autograph card--even if the are so "2003". I don't think I'll buy any of this product, but it's a few months away so my purcahsing decision will probably change.
