Well from the look of things, the past week, a lot has happened. Alot of folks still have a lot to say and talk about regarding, the Brooklyn Dodgers. Everybody has been allowed to speak their minds. We have had lively, spirited, sometimes contentious debate and everyone has conducted themselves in a reasonable manner. Our mederator VIB has a very easy job, right now. What is heart warming is seeing so many posters who weren't there getting involved in the spirit of the Brooklyn Dodgers. The revisionists might have miscalculated, there are still many of us, who are interested in the REAL TRUTH.

tony-pete-jaykay- and other vets of this forum,

Gentlemen, please know that the stories, insights and memories you share on this forum and your others are not for naught. I enjoy every shred of commentary offered here and at your other forums, and regret not being able to visit each more consistently. Sharing your knowledge, joys, passions and heartbreaks has enlivened these online pages and educated a new generation of baseball fan and historian. We may be less vocal than normal during our tutelage, but my own best learning experiences come from the 'shut up and listen' mantra dictated by the business end of a nun's wooden ruler. So that's what I mostly do around here.

History may be written by the victors but truth is written by the dauntless, and I beseech you merry gentlemen to remain undaunted. Much like the flagrant depreciation of American History within or culture, so too wanes the history of Dem Brooklyns. I have said it before and believe it with all my heart, that the Brooklyn Dodgers are the Camelot of American society, a fleeting wisp of glory who's tales become legend so long as there are story tellers such as yourselves to remember them each evening from December to December, before you drift to sleep upon your cots. We are the young Tom to your King Arthur, hearing in earnest so we may go forth and share with every person who has not heard the tales of glory, that once there was a spot...

Thanks for all you guys do and please keep it up.

Thank you very much for your kind words. As much as we like swapping the bull with each other, knowing others, such as youself, get enjoyment from it, makes it all worth while. We have big shoes to try to fill as our former moderator, Dodger Deb put down a great foundation, with her hard work and dedication, which we are trying to uphold. The Brooklyn Dodgers captured and still holds the attention of many millions of people. The story has to continue to be told. Thanks again for the kind words.

We all miss Dodger Deb. Any word on her? How she is? Her passion fueled this site for so long. I miss Jackie's pictures too. It was a shame when they had that falling out. That really hurt this site for a while, but through the efforts of Tony, Pete and others this site remains an entertaining and educational site which we are all thankful for. Keep up the good work!

I get the occasional email from DodgerDeb. She seems to be fit as a fiddle and still loving her Brooklyn Dodgers. Thanks for the encouragement and nice words. Here are some tickets for you..........

This neon sign draws the mosquitos to my backyard deck. They must be thirsty. It's lighted while I listen to Red Barber announce the Dodger games, swilling my cold brewskies.

If only we could go back in time. Keep working on that go back machine, Pete.

Robert--I "go back" often (without the machine). My old Brooklyn Dodger tapes are playing......I have my jersey and cap on............pitching woo to my lovely wife (she can hit).
