Over at Facebook, they are running a poll asking should their be a National Holiday named for Michael Jackson. Perhaps we should do the same for Walter O'Malley. After all, if you read D'Antonio's book and the stuff on the O'Malley website, at the very least we should be calling O'Malley, Saint Walter. It's enough to make you sick to your stomach.

If you ran that poll, Walter would probably do as well as Michael: over 90% AGAINST the idea.................could Walter moon-walk?

Why would anyone want a holiday for someone who did what exactly? Who is the knucklehead who thought up this one? Jeez this country is losing it. At least 90% still have brains left!

Walter O'Malley was elected to the Hall of Fame because he ripped a team out of a city for no reason other then his bank account and vanity. And, for that he is now being proclaimed a national hero how crazy is that.

He's in the Hall because he "opened up the west coast for MLB" (what a joke). How come Horace ain't in there with him then?

Or better yet Perini the guy who moved the Braves to Milwaukee since he served as motivation for O'Malley

It just shows what a sham, O'Malley's election to the HOF was. It took a rigged election with a small hand picked group of voters to get him in. TO SAY HE OPENED THE WEST COAST TO BASEBALL IS RIDICULOUS. He waited until the time was right, hen jumped in before anyone else. The west coast would have had baseball before 1960, even without O'Malley.

Walter is in the Hall only because he continues to have friends in high places.

Rep. Peter King (Long Island) has an opinion about Michael Jackson: http://gothamist.com/2009/07/06/rep_peter_king_blasts_coverage_of_p.php

Rep. King's sentiments are shared by many. It just shows what a media blitz can do to change or try to change a persons image. The O'Malley camp is banking on a favorable media blitz to sweep dear old dad into sainthood.
