Hello all, I'm working on a large project - painting "First Day Cover Add-Ons" for a good customer in Chicago. The subject I'm doing now is Candy Cummings credited for inventing and throwing the first curve ball in the major leagues.... Images of Cummings seem to be limited to "one" which is a simple outline drawing. In this image Cummings is wearing a suit and no hat. I'm planning to put the Excelsior's uniform and hat on him. I found a group photo of the Excelsior team and see they had a dark colored hat with a lighter colored bill on the hat with what appears to be white pipping on the hat...
Question: Does anyone out there know the colors of the hat? I'd like to make this painting accurate as possible and any help you all may give me will be greatly appreciated.
