Which position do you think has better players in 2009?

I think 1B, but SS and 3B has some good players too. I don't think the OFs are as good as a couple of years ago.

Id say first base, the most complete players are there. I would say Dh based off offensive numbers, but 1st base has guys like Pujols, Pena, Youkilis, who are great all around players. Then theres still guys like Cabrera, Lee, Berkamn who are all great hitters.

If we are talking about offensively then definitely 1st base, but overall I would have to go with Rightfield. A typical rightfielder is expected to have a big bat and a great arm/glove and sometimes you might even get a little speed.

Overall. RF? Off the top of my head...i can only think in Nelson Cruz, Ichiro and Brad Hawpe having good year.

No catcher? Catching is my favorite part of the game, granted, it probably won't win this poll, unless you've heard of Matt Wieters.

I'd say 1B with no doubt.

I don't know why, but I LOVE the second basemen. Utley, Kinsler, Pedroia, O-Dog, Roberts, Phillips, and Zobrist has been playing a lot there.

I would have chosen Pitcher but that wasn't an option so I picked 2B.

Ditto on the second basemen... only you forgot Aaron Hill, who is definitely playing up there with Kinsler and Utley this year.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Minnesota 2B have hit a collective .195/.260/.257 this season. I'm no expert, but that's sorta bad.

I heard Matt Wieters once led off an inning with a grand slam.

I like catcher as well, how many 1b or rf can strap on the gear? If you are
really talking best athlete it would be hard to leave Joe M. & Victor M.off
the list.

The only way to hit a grand slam is with 3 men on base, so you CANNOT led off the inning with a GS.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasam based on the ridiculos (possibly justified) hype surrounding Matt Wieters

I think just got "chick Norris'd" Benny.

Anyway, my vote is SS. SS has a surprising number of really good offensive players, especially if you include guys who were just moved from SS over the last year like Peralta and Young. That and it's the hardest defensive position to play other than possibly Catcher.
