Its common to hear players say that their uniform number has to do with their slump. Recently Melky Cabrera has changed to number 53. I've been thinking maybe it's time for A-Rod to try a new number. Hell he has got unlucky unlucky 13 on his back. I was thinking since he used to wear number 3 he should maybe try out numero 6. Yea Torre wore it but I think some change could do him well with his less than impressive 213 batting average. What do you all think?

Well, for obvious reasons he can't wear #3 on the Yanees so he decided to wear #13 as the next best choice (3 + 10). Plus, his favorite football player as a kid was Dan Marino, who wore #13 for the Dolphins, so that's why he likes it I think.
Marino did well wearing #13 of course (he's in the HoF), but ironically he never won a Super Bowl. By the same token, A-Rod has never won a World Series.
