Castilla played 16 years in the big leagues, hitting 320 home runs with 1105 RBI. It is interesting to note that 191 of those home runs - or nearly 60% - were hit in a five year span from 1995 to 1999.
He was an All-Star twice, leading the league in games in 1998 and RBI in 2004.
The ten players that are most similar to him statistically, according to Baseball Reference, are:
Matt Williams, Ron Cey, Miguel Tejada, Greg Luzinski, Lance Parrish, Fred Lynn, Robin Ventura, George Hendrick, Travis Fryman and Jermaine Dye.
Do you think Vinny Castilla should be in the Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible?

Castilla was a Coors field creation, with a 95 OPS+ for his career...how much support for the hall do you think he will get around here? That said, his peak was very good, probably much better than the OPS+ would indicate. How many third basemen have hit 40 100 .300 three years in a row(or how many players at ANY position, for that matter)? If Matt Williams cant get any support this guy has no chance.

Willshad pretty much covered it. But worse, to Todd Helton and Larry Walker fans, Castilla and Bichette will be tremendous drags on their HOF candidacies.

Minus the steroids, Ken Caminiti is a better candidate. Sorry, no.

Not much chance here.

The only Coors Field slugger I would support as a HOFer at this point is Todd Helton.
