Now that we've finished the 1940's, it's time for another review of how the Best of Baseball project is stacking up against Cooperstown.
Let's start with the players both projects agree on:
Pete Alexander
Cap Anson
Frank Baker
Dan Brouthers
Mordecai Brown
Fred Clarke
Ty Cobb
Mickey Cochrane
Eddie Collins
Ed Delahanty
Buck Ewing
Frankie Frisch
Lou Gehrig
Charlie Gehringer
Lefty Grove
Rogers Hornsby
Carl Hubbell
Walter Johnson
King Kelly
Nap LaJoie
Christy Mathewson
Kid Nichols
Jim O'Rourke
Eddie Plank
Babe Ruth
Tris Speaker
Honus Wagner
Ed Walsh
Paul Waner
George Wright*
Cy Young
Wright gets an asterisk, as he's in Cooperstown as a Pioneer, while he's in BOB as a player.
