I've never attended one, but got pretty excited since it's being held in my neck of the woods. I was able to get 2 bleacher tickets, and even those were outrageously expensive :faint: Just curious if anyone else is going to make it?

I really want to go, but I don't have tickets as of yet (I assume they've been sold out for a long time already). Would it be too forward of me to ask how much those tickets cost?

I wouldn't go if given free tickets, free food, and free drinks. The A-S game has been nothing but a farcial popularity contest for years. Players who aren't hitting their weight are among the top vote-getters. And to compound the stupidity, the winning league gets home field advantage for the World Series.

Arch Ward must be spinning in his grave.

The All Star has always been a farcial popularity contest. Remember the 1957 All-Star Game voting controversy? Seven Reds players were voted to start (Ed Bailey, Johnny Temple, Roy McMillan, Don Hoak, Frank Robinson, Gus Bell and Wally Post) over Hank Aaron and Willie Mays.
