I don't know the answer to this one but I am curious...

I noticed that Mark Reynolds led Major League Baseball in strikeouts and errors last season. Has any other player led the entire major leagues in both categories?

He didn't quite do it, but Zoilo Versalles deserves a mention. In 1965, he led the AL with 122 Ks and had 39 errors (not sure if that led the league), and won the MVP and a Gold Glove!

Zoilo's 39 errors led the majors that year, but a bunch of guys had more K's.

In the National League:

George Grantham - 92 K (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/SO_leagues.shtml) - 55 E (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/1923-standard-fielding.shtml) - led NL in both - 2nd in K(Babe Ruth, 93) and E(Joe Sewell, 59) in MLB.

Roy Smalley - 114 K (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/SO_leagues.shtml) - 51 E (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/1950-standard-fielding.shtml) - led MLB in both.

Dick Allen - 138 K (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/SO_leagues.shtml) - 41 E (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/MLB/1964-standard-fielding.shtml) - led NL in K and MLB in E - 2nd in K(Nelson Mathews, 143) in MLB.

Doc Lavan did it in the 1915 AL.
George Grantham did in the 1923 NL
Frankie Crosetti in 1938 AL
Roy Smally in 1950 NL
