On a half part of the season, could you predict the best pitcher?
IMO, there are 3-4 pitchers who deserve our attention...what do you think?
Halladay, Verlander, Greinke, J.Weaver...?
I think that noone reliever /closer/ can compete for the title.
Currently Greinke would be my pick for best, but since you asked who WILL BE the best this season i went with Halladay. He has shown before he can keep the kind of form he's in for the whole year and pitchers alot of innings (for this generation at least) without obvious signs of fatigue.

I would really like to vote for Greinke but the Royals weak offense and poor bullpen have cost him three wins already and you can see he is starting to feel the pressure of needing to throw a complete game shutout to win games. I really like Holliday, but am concerned he might not hold up for the entire year.

I picked Halladay but the injury history concerns me.

I picked Greinke just because I like him the most (his quotes are priceless), so I hope he'll have the best season. He's got great command and composure, fields his position and holds runners well, and is a genuine student of the game. At the very least, I hope he gets the start for the AL in the All-Star game, seeing how St. Louis just cross state from Kansas City.
