OK I've seen enough of this experiment. Let's end it right now. :crazy

I understand the general sentiment, but until Eyre or Lidge come back (or a trade is made), who else would you use? He can at least eat some innings if there's a blowout, not that the Phils have had many of those lately.

Phils BP doesn't give up a single run in three straight games, until Kendrick comes in, blows up and gives up 3. Sorry, but I agree with F1ghtin time for Kendrick to go elsewhere. We got some pretty good talent sitting down at double and triple A. Bring 'em up and get 'em some work.

If none of them are deemed ready, does it make any sense to mess with their confidence? I agree they should keep Kendrick on a short leash and try to use him when he won't hurt them much or when they're desperate (like last night). Also, if they're not ready, do you really want to have them mostly sitting around for two weeks, or do you want them working at perfecting their craft? If they're not ready, they're about the same as Kendrick, BTW. When Eyre comes back, they'll send Kyle back to the Iron Pigs, where he belongs unless he learns some other pitches, and maybe even then he'll belong in AAA. If we were talking months, I'd be a little more in line with going with someone else, but for two weeks, I understand going with Kendrick.

I'm pretty sure he's not in the organization any more.

Majewski pitched for the Iron Pigs last night. Came in in the 6th with the bases loaded and 1 out. Got out of that jam and then pitched a scoreless 7th.
I understand the Phils predicament but Kendrick has had more of his share of time and chances. The kid has got problems, and they ain't gonna just go away. I personally would have brought back up Drew Carpenter but I guess he had just pitched the night before and would not have been available for the next few days anyway.
Oh well, lets hope we don't need to rely on Kendrick too much. As long as the Mets keep defeating themselves, we should be ok. :crossfingers:

Personally I like the idea of bringing up Carpenter and making him the five guy in the rotation. Put Bastardo in the pen until Eyre comes back. Here's my reasoning. Bastardo has had 2 very good starts, but he's a one trick pony, and it will catch up with him. At this point all he has is a fastball and high 80's low 90's one to boot. In the pen, he can get away with that, as a starter he will get exposed. Send Kendrick to double A or high A and let him get himself figured out, a la Bret Myers. I'm not sure what it's going to do for his confidence coming out of the pen and getting beat around like a rented mule.
