Any player ever have his first 4 career hits be a single, double, triple, and home run (in any order)? They don't have to be in the same game, only that his first 4 hits be that.

Jerry Brooks did it with the first four hits of his career and also with the last four hits of his career.

Here's an article that I wrote recently about what I call a "season cycle" --- four hits in a season, but one of each type.

I believe Claude Hendrix applies to this as well

According to my source, he had four hits in 1911 but had two singles, a double and a homer. But no triple.

Interesting! I'll have to check it out later to figure out which is correct, but it looks like you are probably right.

Thanks!

Thanks! For the record, there is one job I do NOT want, and that is trying to be better at trivia than TG (or UC, or janduscframe, to name a few).
