Hey all, I was wondering if it would be possible that someone could help out in updating the MLB draft today?
I'm at work and my "websense" internet firewall does not allow me to access any mainstream Baseball/sports websites (only Baseball Fever!)
It's not necessary to update pick by pick, but possibly an update for each hour of the draft for the 1st and Sandwich rounds. If anyone out there can help a brother out it would be greatly appreciated.
The draft is aired live on MLB network & updated pick by pick on MLB.com
Thank You!

Proud to see a fellow SDSU Aztec, Stephen Strasburg, picked first overall. Not that that surprised anyone. I'm also happy to see Donavan Tate as the first pick of the Jeff Moorad era in San Diego.

I understand Tanner Scheppers is still on the board after round 1
Looks like someones gonna get a steal in the sandwich round (if he's signable)
Which makes me wonder: Has any player refused to sign two years in row? what happens at that point? Can they re-enter a third time, or do they wait a certain time period and become a FA?

The sad, sad story of Matt Harrington. Idiot extraordinaire.

Ahhh...yes, Matt Harrington. his name escaped me, but his story was somewhere in my mind.
BTW-- Tanner Scheppers undrafted thru 3 rounds. Does anyone know if he got hurt? As early as 3 weeks ago some mock drafts had him top ten.

Scheppers was drafted by the Rangers at #44 in the compensatory round.

Fresno State head coach Mike Batesole, who coached Scheppers from 2006-2008 on the Bulldogs, said he thinks Schep will be better than Strasburg. He might be biased, but I don't think Schep and Batesole had any kind of rosy relationship. In any case, the Rangers got a major steal. They picked up Scheppers' former teammate, 2009 WAC POY Tom Mendonca, as well. He is possibly the second best defensive 3B in all of baseball right now behind Ryan Zimmerman and has some light-tower power.

I have seen Dominguez of Louisville play on 8 or 9 occasions
Someone is going to get a very solid third sacker for a long time

now even though you need to place a measure of blame on Harrington I still feel sorry for the guy. I am sure he and his parents were ignorant of the business of baseball and ended up listening and trusting their chosen agent (at the time Tommy Tanzer).

Really? As a Giants fan, I'm very glad to hear that assessment. Dominguez taken by SF in the 3rd round.

Yeah he is the very real deal.
UofL has a beautiful stadium and I enjoy 5 0r 6 games each year there(for free I might add)
Chris D is a very very solidly fundamental player with excellent baseball acumen with Big League size already
Your team picked wisely, maybe, just maybe ,speed kept him until the 3rd round but he is a two time Big East player of the year and I look forward to seeing him in the Bigs in 2 years or so
