OK, I don't know the answer to this one, and am asking for some help by members of this community.

I’m researching a family member who is reported to have been a “professional baseball player”. His name was “Merle Brady”. I can’t find him listed either as a major league player (circa 1910-1914) or a minor league player. He might have been in one of the industrial leagues in or around the Washington, DC area. A review of the historical Washington Post for that era has not turned up any information. He married Hazelton Chambers and had one child, William, in 1913. Hazel was born and always resided in Washington, DC. I’ve been told Merle died after being struck in the groin by a baseball, death occurring in late 1913 or during 1914.

I’m hoping one of you might be able to point me to locations to research this, or possibly, even know something about him.

If I should cross post this or move this to another forum, let me know.

You can go here to see stats for Bradys whose first names are currently unknown. Perhaps some of those years belong to Merle Brady.
