I have been watching Alex Romero play this season for the RENO ACES and he looks like he is maybe 2 years away from the "show"

Yeah, like 4 years ago-- Those aren't exactly "5-star prospects". In fact, most of the guys on those lists are "career minor leaguers", although it does take me down memory lane seeing some of those names

Charlie Morton, unless something really drastic occurs or he becomes a long reliever, is not part of the Braves' future. If there is anyone that is eventually "coming", it would be Tommy Hanson.
Who is the better pitcher?:
Tommy Hanson - 11 GS, 3-3, 1.49 ERA, 66 1/3 IP, 40 H, 16 R, 11 ER, 17 BB, 90 SO
Charlie Morton - 10 GS, 7-2, 2.51 ERA, 64 2/3 IP, 52 H, 18 R, 18 ER, 16 BB, 55 SO

Actually, one guy on the list, Jesus Guzman, is only 24 and he can really mash. He can't field a lick, but he can hit the ball, I'll tell you that. Got his first crack a couple of weeks ago, but didn't do much.....yet.

Yep, Mike Burns isn't coming to the majors unless there's an injury.

Luke Hochevar is the classic 4A guy. Too good for AAA and not good enough for the majors.

That's a solid evaluation, which is a shame because he was the #1 OVERALL PICK-- Drafted ahead of Lincecum and Joba (and EVERY OTHER PLAYER in the 2006 draft)
It's got to kill you as a Royals fan, but they seem like a fun team to watch this year and there is some minor league depth

 Had no idea Dee Brown was still playing. Same goes for some of the other guys on those lists.

I don't think there's any such gap at all. Aren't the best players in AAA better than the worst players in MLB?
