Babe Ruth's Towel Drill

Put a towel under your front armpit. Shift your weight from the back leg to the front leg. Don't drop the towel.

It sounds silly, but I've had luck teaching hitting by havings kids throw a frisbee as far as they can. Throw left handed throws for a right handed batter.

It really teaches the batter to follow through and rotate.

I went ahead and bought the insider bat. I have to say I am very skeptical on things and believe there ARE a lot of gimmicks out there. However, this is a great little tool.

The best part is you have to swing the bat right in order to hit the ball. The goal should be line drives back up the middle. It forces you to hit the ball palm up palm down at contact. If you don't you won't hit the ball right. Immediate feedback so you can be your own coach.

I just took about 70 swings and after that I grabbed my wooden bat and took some dry swings and everything felt different.

I don't know how well it works carrying over to actually hitting a ball just yet but I can tell you that it does feel good. I was rotating better to. My body would definetley get in a different position to hit with this when I hit right and I would really feel that I rotate much better.
